Desert Lumber & Truss also offers EWP P.E.T.(precision end trimmed) joist packages. With advanced software our designers can design your EWP, produce an easy to read layout for job-site installation & fabricate joists with the use of our Hundegger SC1 automated saw.

Glulam Beams (Glued & Laminated)Glulam Beams (Glued & Laminated) are the most commonly used beam in framing construction. Glulam beams are typically stocked, but certain depths & shapes can be made to order. Our Glulam beam sizes start at 3⅛” to 8¾” thick & from 6″ to 27″ tall. Other sizes available by special order.

I-JoistsI-joists have two main parts, the web & the flange. The web is ‘sandwiched’ between a top & bottom flange, creating the “I” shape. Sizes can vary according to the I-joist’s intended loads & span. Depths can range from 9¼” to 20″ & in lengths of up to 60′

Microllam LVL (Laminated Veneer Lumber)Microllam LVL (Laminated Veneer Lumber) is widely used as beams & headers where Timberstrand doesn’t cut it. Our Microllam beams are typically 1¾” thick & 7¼” up to 16″ deep. Just let us know what you are looking for & we’ll check availability for your needs

Parallam PSL (Parallel Strand Lumber)Parallam PSL (Parallel Strand Lumber) is the strongest of the 3 options in strand beams. Parallam beams allow longer spans & can carry greater loads. Our Parallam comes in thicknesses of 3½” to 7″ & depths of 9½” up to 18

Timberstrand LSL (Laminated Strand Lumber)Timberstrand LSL (Laminated Strand Lumber) is available & used as wall studs, beams, & even headers. Our Timberstrand comes in sizes ranging from 1⅛” & 1¼ for RIM & 1½”x 11⅞ ” to 3½”x 16″
